ADMINISTRATION

The administration department provides general administration services including the distribution of information to various departments, external agencies and other levels of government. It administers and oversees the enforcement of legislative decisions and activities related to Council, as well as providing a clerical support to the Counties’ Warden. The department is also responsible of informing Council’s decisions and actions, within and outside the Counties. The administration also provides support to various departments of the Corporation.

Any individual or group wishing to make an official presentation before the Council must apply through the Council Clerk.

The Administration of the United Counties of Prescott and Russell has four divisions : 

Administration office
The Chief Administrative Officer and Clerk ensures the supervision and general control of the Corporation’s administrative business.

Clerk
The Clerk is in the heart of Council’s activities and manages its meeting calendar. His function is to oversee the implementation of Council’s decisions by establishing practices and administrative procedures.

The Clerk is the safekeeper of the entire documentation of the Corporation of the United Counties of Prescott and Russell. He is also responsible for the preparation and writing of agendas, minutes, reports, resolutions, rules and agreements.  He also oversees the application of Council’s resolutions, decisions and other debates as well as registering and book-keeping for the Council.

The Clerk also sees to the administration and interpretation of the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act within the municipal administration.

Information Systems
The Information System department oversees the IT infrastructure and is responsible for maintaining security and preserving data integrity.

Notice of Proposed Sale of Land (or Surplus of Land)
The Corporation of the United Counties of Prescott and Russell owns many properties.  Occasionally, a property is declared surplus to the Corporation’s needs.  A Notice of Proposed Sale of Land is then prepared to notify the public.  Said Notice will be posted below, when necessary.
